Dr. Wai Chi Chan

President, Chinese Dementia Research Association

 Dr. Chan is a clinical associate professor of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Hong Kong. He is also an honorary consultant at Queen Mary Hospital, and leads the psychogeriatric service in the Hong Kong West Cluster.

He is currently the President of Chinese Dementia Research Association, the Chief Editor of East Asian Archives of Psychiatry, and the convenor of clinical division of old age psychiatry under the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists. He was also recently elected to the council of Asian Society Against Dementia. His research focuses on longitudinal follow-up of older persons to identify the predictors of neurocognitive disorders, prevalence and interventions of behavioural and psychological symptoms associated with neurocognitive disorders, caregivers burden and interventions, interventions for late-life depression and psychiatric epidemiology.
