Professor Daisy Cheung

Deputy Director of the Center for Medical Ethics and Law, University of Hong Kong

 Daisy is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Medical Ethics & Law and an Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law. Her research interests are in the field of medical law, primarily mental health law and ethics. She has researched on the compulsory admission and treatment regime in Hong Kong, and has presented conference papers locally and internationally on issues in mental capacity law, the impact of the UNCRPD on mental health law, and compulsion in mental health legislation. She was awarded a RGC grant this year to work on a project on guardianship systems in East Asian jurisdictions. Daisy currently co-teaches Medico-Legal Issues for the LLB and JD/LLM programs, as well as tort and contract law.
