Dr Roger MK Ng is a consultant psychiatrist and chief of service (psychiatry), department of psychiatry, Kowloon Hospital, Hong Kong SAR, China.  He is the current President of the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists, Secretary of Training, Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations, and Secretary of Education, World Psychiatric Association.  He is also a honorary clinical professor of psychiatry, Chinese University of Hong Kong and a honorary clinical associate professor of psychiatry, Li Ka Shing School of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong.  He has an academic interest in the application and adaptation of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to patients of Asian culture, training and dissemination of CBT skills to health professionals, promotion of public mental health in Hong Kong, and the development and dissemination of psychiatric education to relevant stakeholders of mental health to different parts of the world (especially low and middle income countries).  He is on the editorial boards of multiple peer-reviewed journals.
