Dr Michelle Tam is a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists and Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. She is an Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, the University of Hong Kong. Prior to starting her medical career as a doctor specialising in psychiatry, she worked as a management consultant in London after graduating from Cambridge University in Natural Sciences.

Throughout her clinical career, she’s had the privilege to see how our societal culture could influence the way we are and we relate to one another, particularly towards loneliness and loss in later life. She is passionate about advocating metal health, and is currently serving as board advisor for Mind HK, a registered charity in Hong Kong.
