Dr Hannah Sugarman is a UK-trained Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience in mental health. With a background in health and neuropsychology, she has worked in a range of positions, spanning the public sector, private, and charitable organisations in both the UK and Hong Kong. She is passionate about challenging stigma and misconceptions around mental health, and is dedicated to improving access to high-quality, evidence-based psychological support for all.

During her six years in Hong Kong, Hannah acted as the Lead Clinical Advisor for the pilot phase of the iACT initiative at Mind HK, a pioneering programme designed to deliver ACT-based psychological interventions to children and adults experiencing mental health problems in Hong Kong. In this role, she oversaw the development of the clinical intervention and training for practitioners, leading the design and implementation of the first iACT programme in 2022.

Hannah cares deeply about making psychological support something people feel able to reach for, without fear or barriers. In both her clinical and charitable work, she has focused on breaking down stigma and finding practical, culturally sensitive ways to bring evidence-based care to those who might not otherwise access it. She is now based in the UK, where she works in private practice as part of the Central Health London team, alongside independent work supporting people with mental health and neurological difficulties. In this capacity, she helps individuals, families, and teams to better understand and manage challenges, while continuing to offer her expertise to organisations seeking to improve mental health outcomes.
