這是 Dame Lesley Regan 教授, DBE
Dame Lesley Regan is Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Imperial College London at St Mary’s Hospital Campus, where she continues her clinical practice and research in recurrent pregnancy loss, menstrual disorders, menopause and post-reproductive women’s health. She is also Chair of Wellbeing of Women, the only UK charity to fund research, education and advocacy into every aspect of women’s health across their lifecourse.
As Past President RCOG (2016-2019), she led the “Better for Women” report, published in December 2019, which shone a spotlight on taboo topics in women’s health such as poor access to contraception and fertility treatments, abortion, heavy periods and pelvic pain, menopause, violence against women and girls. The key recommendation of this report was the urgent need for an NHS-led Women’s Health Strategy.
Lesley was awarded a DBE for her services to Women’s health in the late Queen’s 2020 New Years Honours list. She is also a non-executive member on the board of NHS Resolution, where she advises on maternity safety.
In June 2022, she was appointed Women’s Health Ambassador for England, working alongside the policy team at the DHSC. As an experienced front-line clinician, Lesley’s role is to engage with women, policy makers and health care professionals to develop and implement the 10-year Women’s Health Strategy.
