Mind HK is hosting our third international mental health conference in November. The conference, themed “Navigating Life’s Defining Moments,” will delve into the evidence, psychology, and culture surrounding mental health across the lifespan, addressing key transitions from birth to end-of-life stages

Our keynote speakers will be:

🌟Prof. Dinesh Bhugra CBE – Professor Emeritus Mental Health and Cultural Diversity, King’s College London
🌟Prof. Dixon Chibanda – Professor of Psychiatry, The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM); Founder, Friendship Bench
🌟Dr Karen Devon – Associate Professor, Department of Surgery and Joint Center for Bioethics, University of Toronto
🌟Julia Samuel MBE (joining virtually) – Psychotherapist and Best-selling Author of Grief Works, This Too Shall Pass, and Every Family Has a Story

We are pleased to invite you to submit a poster abstract and share this opportunity to contribute to this important conversation.

We invite submissions of poster abstracts that highlight: 

  • • Research, projects or initiatives related to knowledge translation in mental health (i.e. bridging the gap between research and practice) 
  • • Evidence-based or emerging practical interventions for improving mental health outcomes at the community level 
  • • Case studies, best practice or success stories demonstrating the impact of community-based mental health programmes 
  • • Collaborative approaches to addressing mental health challenges with a focus on engaging diverse populations or addressing equity in mental health care

  • • All abstracts should be submitted via Google form here or in Word format to conference@mind.org.hk. For submission guidelines, please click here
  • • Further guidelines will be provided upon receipt of the acceptance notice via email by the end of May 2025
  • • Only authors who have completed registration and can physically attend the conference will be considered. We recommend all international applicants to apply soon. To allow as much time as possible to plan your travels, the applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis
