General Information

1) Where and when will the Hong Kong Mental Health Conference 2025 be held?

The Hong Kong Mental Health Conference will take place from 6-8 November, 2025, at Hotel ICON, Hong Kong. Some breakout sessions will take place simultaneously at Poly U’s RestHub, which is around 5 minutes walk from Hotel ICON.

2) Is the Conference open to everyone?

Yes! While the Day 1-2 (Nov 6-7) sessions are targeted towards clinical professionals (e.g. psychologists, counsellors, GPs, psychiatrists, OBs), NGO workers, and educators, anyone interested in mental health is welcome to join. There are no professional limitations for conference access.

Day 3 of the conference will feature a public Mental Wellbeing Festival—an open and inclusive event where everyone is welcome, regardless of your academic or professional background. The day will include interactive workshops and sharing by guest speakers, offering a fun and relaxed way for the public to explore and learn more about mental health.

We welcome you to join if you are:

  • Academics or experts passionate about advancing mental health research
  • HR professionals  eager to strengthen your organisation’s DEI policies and culture
  • University students hoping to expand their knowledge in mental health across the lifespan
  • Dedicated employees working in mental health organisations (non-profit or for-profit)
  • Leaders looking to learn more about mental health cross the lifespan
  • Clinical professionals hoping to upskill and learn about innovative and new mental health best practices
  • Individuals with lived experience who want to delve deeper into specific topics
  • Curious minds who want to learn more about mental health and wellbeing!

No matter your background, if mental health matters to you, this conference is for you. Come be part of the conversation and make a difference!

3) What language will the conference be in?

Conference Days (6-7 November) will be in English (Cantonese/English simultaneous interpretation will be available for sessions in the ballroom).

The Mental Wellbeing Festival (8 November) will be in Cantonese and English (Cantonese/English simultaneous interpretation will be available for sessions in the ballroom).

4) What is the difference between Conference Days (6-7 November) and the Mental Wellbeing Festival?

At this conference, we aim to provide a platform that features both the latest research updates on mental health topics related to life’s defining moments and community-friendly awareness activities. Both components are open to everyone, with programmes tailored to different audiences.

Conference Days (6-7 Nov) will bring together professionals from various fields to discuss timely and often under-addressed topics using their expertise. If you are interested in bridging the gap between academia and real-life applications of evidence-based strategies worldwide, Days 1 and 2 are perfect for you!

The Mental Wellbeing Festival (8 Nov) will be less academic and more public-oriented, featuring interactive workshops and relatable talks designed for the general public to participate in and benefit from. If you prefer casual and engaging sessions, join our Mental Wellbeing Festival!

Both sections are open to all, with content tailored to meet diverse needs. We warmly welcome everyone to join us!

5) Will there be online sessions at the Hong Kong Mental Health Conference 2025?
