Keynote Speaker

Dr. Todd Farchione is a Research Professor at the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Boston University (BU). He received his doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed a clinical internship at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Before joining the faculty at BU, he completed postdoctoral fellowships at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital and the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University.

Dr. Farchione leads a research group at CARD focusing on understanding the nature and treatment of emotional disorders and developing improved psychological treatments for anxiety, mood, and commonly co-occurring disorders. He co-developed the Unified Protocol (UP), a leading transdiagnostic treatment for emotional disorders, and has significantly contributed to its evaluation and refinement. Dr. Farchione has published extensively on the UP and the nature and treatment of emotional disorders more broadly. He has received federal and foundation grants from the National Institutes of Health, the John Templeton Foundation, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
