The Youth Summit, organised by Mind HK and KELY Support Group’s youth mental health initiative, Coolminds, will address mental health stigma and provide mental health support in the form of evidence-based information and peer community building. It will take place on November 8, 2020, in an online and in-person format. With the theme “Resilience: Supporting each other and ourselves” the summit seeks to engage youth through panel discussions, stories of lived experience, and inspiring sharing sessions from youth mental health leaders around the world.

The summit is being organised by our youth ambassadors, a group of volunteer secondary and university students in Hong Kong. The event aims to engage youth through a mix of interactive workshops, panel discussions, youth lived experience speakers, film screenings and engaging activities. The bilingual event is designed by youth for youth in order to increase knowledge, reduce stigma, encourage discussion and provide signposts to resources focused on mental health issues in all aspects of young people’s lives in Hong Kong.

Who can attend?
No previous mental health knowledge is required – all are welcome to attend! This will be open to adolescents and young adults; sessions are targeted towards high school and university-aged students (12-24). A downloadable signed certificate of attendance will be provided to each participant of the youth summit.
